...I still think Pepperdine as the silliest rally cry ever (roll waves), but when your mascot is a physics 101 concept, you work with what you've got, I suppose. There are many perks to Mark's job, one of them is the sweet swag he brings home; you know you wish you had a Pepperdine snuggy.
Mark also gets tickets to random Pepperdine sporting events, most recently, a Pepperdine baseball game at Dodger Stadium! We made the trek to downtown LA on a beautiful, sunny Tuesday (gotta love the smog)...
...Took a couple pictures while Bennett finished up his car nap.
We had some seriously sweet box seats. Walked right by the clubhouse! Mark said they go for more than a $1,000 during the Dodger season...the seats were all the sweeter for being free :)
It's always fun to experience things for the first time through your children's eyes. Mark was very excited to take Bennett to his first ball game (once he could convince himself that it would be fun, not a toddler wrangling nightmare). It turned out to be the perfect scenario. We had a mostly empty, contained box of seats for Bennett to run around mostly contained. He loved it and we loved that he loved it!
Father and son watching the game (yes, those are mini ray bans, thank you fashion district).
A bunch of teenage boys and their mentors were sitting in front of us. One of them caught a fly ball and very sweetly thought Bennett would get more enjoyment out of it than he would. He was right, because Bennett played with that ball non stop for the rest of the game. He loved throwing it to/at his daddy and also throwing it into the empty seats to watch it bounce down the levels.
Pleased as punch with his new toy :)
Sporting events: one of the only acceptable place to wear matching t-shirts.
